The Minister of Petroleum inspects Petrojet's work on the construction of the GASCO gas pipeline.

As part of the minister visit yesterday to the petroleum facilities area at Ain Sokhna Port on the Red Sea coast, the Minister and his accompanying delegation inspected the storage area, the marine berth, the control room of the Sonker Terminal, and the works being carried out by petrojet for the construction of GASCO natural gas pipeline connecting the Sonker facilities to the national natural gas grid. The pipeline has a diameter of 36 inches, a length of 17 km, and includes 3 new valve rooms
Minister Badawi emphasized that the “Sonker” project is a significant and vital addition to the infrastructure for transporting and handling petroleum products. He noted that the Sonker Terminal has been established using the latest technologies to ensure operational efficiency & uphold the highest standards of safety, security and quality.
The Minister was accompanied during the tour by Eng. Walid Lotfy, Chairman and Managing Director of Petrojet, along with several company heads and senior officials from the Ministry of Petroleum.
